Cancer White-Out
Cancer a lancer of all in my heart
When pink roses did bloom and my pantsuits looked smart
Cancer a dancer afoot on a stage
Of my life near its peak in a modern dark age
Cancer a prancer invading my chest
In my prime in my forties an ultimate test
Cancer an answer to all current strife
As each dawn breaks in sunbeams my gratitude’s rife
