Artomatic Arts Festival in D.C.
If you are in the Washington, D.C. area between May 29 and July 5, 2009, check out the 10th Artomatic Arts festival (www.artomatic.org) to view “Compression,” An Exhibit on Living with Lymphedema. The artist, Ishim (Deidree Bennett), is a 35-year-old mother who has suffered with primary lymphedema her entire life without knowing what it was. Now undergoing treatment she is enjoying an improved quality of life, and expresses her emotions through her artwork featured at this exhibit.
